Everything you need to know about the Grisport Ranger boot

Grisport Ranger boot

The Grisport Ranger boot has been on the market for many years and proves to be a sturdy, reliable and comfortable high leg boot.

What are the features of the Grisport Ranger boot?

  • Italian leather
  • Vibram sole unit for traction and stability
  • Sympatex waterproof and breathable membrane
  • Comfortable midsole
  • Unique five layer sole unit guarantees a comfortable walk
  • Self locking hooks for better grip
  • Cordura inner lining for durability
  • Part leather inner lining
  • Leather sewn in tongue
  • Removable insoles
  • Ankle support locking system
  • Anti-tendonitis function
  • 3.5″ ankle padding
  • Boot height: 26cms

Tendonitis is one of the key ailments suffered by many walkers and hikers. Because of this the Grisport Ranger boot features an anti-tendonitis function. This unique feature reduces the likely-hood of walkers suffering with sharp stabbing pains, stiffness or swelling of the ankles. The extra padding on the boot, carefully located at the area of the tendon, will help to relieve stress on the achilles tendon.

For extra comfort, the tongue is stitched into the boot to prevent water and debris from entering into it. Softer, dimpled leather has also been used on the top of the tongue to prevent it from ‘digging’ into your leg when walking. Plus, the same leather has been used on the side of the tongue so that it ‘tucks’ into the boot easily!  As a result, this boot is comfortable straight from the box – very little breaking in needed!

Also, the extra 2″ of ankle padding gives more movement and will prevent rubbing on the ankle. The heel locking system further prevents twisting of the ankle and the leather tongue, over time, will become very comfortable to wear.

What is it missing?

  • A reinforced stitched rubber band!

Although, the Ranger boot does not feature a rubber band around the bottom of the boot, it does feature a high front, which offers protection on the key wear area. Furthermore, weighing in at 1190 grams, it’s not too heavy for everyday wear!
